2008 DATES
Dec. 20-23, 2008 (Co-ed Christmas Camp)

PURPOSE
The Longhorn Jr. Golf Camp will provide junior girl golfers of all levels one-on-one instruction and V-1 swing analysis. It is our goal and purpose for each camper to take away valuable information and knowledge of the game and to develop their game to the highest level.

THE LONGHORN GOLF CAMP STAFF
Under the new leadership of Women's Golf head coach Martha Richards, the staff will consist of first class instructors and counselors. Assistant coach Tracy Parsons, along with current and past UT players, high school and collegiate coaches, and expert advisors for strength & conditioning and sports psychology.

WHO CAN ATTEND?
Girls, ages 9-18

INSTRUCTION
Instruction encompasses many areas of the game: full swing, short game, bunker play, chipping, putting, trouble shots, and course management, as well as topics that benefit the game, such as knowledge of proper conditioning and the mental game. Campers are grouped by age and skill level at a 5:1 camper-to-coach ratio. All instruction will take place at The University of Texas Golf Club, home of the UT Men's & Women's Golf teams.

COMPETITION DAY
Campers have the opportunity to participate in a competitive setting. Parents are welcome to attend. Play shotguns at 8:30 a.m. and camp closing ceremonies and awards follow play.

CAMP COST
Resident Camper cost is $1,100 per week; Day Camper cost is $900 per week. Camp cost includes all instruction, green fees, V-1 swing analysis, meals, special activities, room and board at a collegiate dormitory facility.

SUPERVISION
Campers are supervised at all times. Instructors as well as counselors and the athletic trainer stay at the dormitory facility with the campers.

EVENING ACTIVITIES
Special activities are planned which will include bowling and golf related activities.

HOUSING & FOOD
Resident campers reside in a privately owned resident hall located across the street from The University of Texas at Austin. Campers are assigned two to a room according to age or individual roommate requests. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are provided for all Resident Campers. Day Campers receive lunch and dinner. The facility features a swimming pool, fitness center, and game room.

DEPOSIT
A $250 non-refundable deposit (which is applied to camp fees) must accompany each application. Upon receipt of the application and deposit, a confirmation packet and all necessary forms and information will be sent directly.

REGISTRATION
Registration is from 1-3 p.m. The remaining balance and all necessary forms will be due at this time.

PARKING
Parking will be free for the parents to drop off the kids. Keep in mind that the regular entrance to the parking garage is a clearance of 6-2. There will be a golf bag drop off. The golf bags will be loaded and transported to the golf course. It won't be necessary to keep golf clubs in the rooms.

TRANSPORTATION
Transportation is provided to and from Austin Bergstrom International Airport. Campers are met by a counselor at the baggage claim area upon arrival.

FIRST AID
An athletics trainer is on duty to administer to all minor injuries and sickness, as well as monitor levels of hydration. For serious problems, the UT Health Center is available.

WHAT TO BRING
Proper golf attire (no denim on the golf course), golf clubs, golf balls, golf hat, sun block, swim suit, toiletries, sheets, pillows or sleeping bag, towels and some spending money ($20-$25). A limited number of linen packets are available for rent.

MERCHANDISE
Merchandise will only be available at time of registration. No inventory will be on the premises. Please place order with registration and deposit.
